Mahlet Konjit-Solomon founded Makolytics after more than fifteen years building and governing health data systems. She was most recently Chief of Public Reporting and Data Release at a U.S. state health commission, where her work spanned enterprise data asset integration, a consumer-centered price transparency initiative, the drafting of data governance regulation, and the workflows and applications that put both into daily use.
Her global health work has run in parallel. She has advised an Ethiopian public hospital on EMR and laboratory information system strengthening, supported COVID data tracking with the Ethiopian Ministry of Health, and worked with Ethiopian universities on digital health curriculum. Her doctoral research in Global Health Leadership examines health data standardization and interoperability in Ethiopia under the African Union's 2023 guidelines.
She holds an MS in Health Information Technology from the Catholic University of America and a BS in Electrical Engineering from Bahir Dar University, and is completing certifications in AI in Healthcare through Johns Hopkins. Earlier roles include analytics and data warehouse architecture at the Wisconsin Health Information Organization and federal health data work at HRSA and CFTC.
Makolytics' working philosophy: define the requirements the client actually needs met, operationalize the information and structures to act on them, apply the right method to work through them, and deploy the result with the expertise and stakeholder buy-in it needs to hold up.
